Glenmore House Wedding Photography

I first met Alex and Marcus over a cup of coffee and a sausage roll in Hammersmith as they happen to live close to me in Shepherd's Bush.  We got on straight away so was looking forward to the day more and more at Glenmore House as it got closer. Alex's bridal prep was at Warren House in Kingston which was a perfect place for a photographer, the rooms had lovely natural light and were big enough that the bridal party wasn't tripping over each other!

At Glenmore House I was able to get on with a lot of the photography I really enjoy, lots of documentary shots of people up close & real emotion without every other guest pulling a funny face at the camera.

When it came to the couple shots I really had to use all my experience to execute the shots shown below. Glenmore House does have a small area of public park outside which is open to everyone, but it is surrounded by cars and lots of buildings so it is very difficult to get a clean shot of the bride and groom. My solution was to shoot into the sun and overexpose the background, which diminished the effect of the buildings and gave the couple a lovely diaphanous glow!

The rest of the day was a joy. The speeches were charged with genuine emotion & the bride and groom had an amazing dance rehearsed with their entire bridal party. It was a fantastic way to kick start the evening section of the wedding as that got everyone dancing!
